Ryan Agoncillo suffered a knee injury in a motorcycle training accident on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017. The injury requires surgery and Ryan will be out of action for about a month. Due to this injury, Ryan will be unable to perform his hosting duties on the longest-running variety show in the Philippines, “Eat Bulaga.”
Ryan shared, “I drained about 44cc of fluid from my knee to relieve pain and swelling. Also had an MRI to search for tears in the joint and also had my lower back checked na din.”
He is slated for surgery this coming Sunday, Nov 5, 2017. Ryan expects to be out for two weeks but clarified that he might be out until December 1.
“Oo, nagpaalam ako pansamantagal. I’ll have surgery November 5. Hopefully after 2 solid weeks of rest, I’m good to go back. But if recovery is retarded, I’ll be back December 1. Mami-miss ko ang mga Dabarkads!”
Ryan is an avid motorcyclist. In fact, he and his team were reportedly the first Filipinos to ride through the Kardung La, one of the highest in the entire world. His wife, Judy Ann Santos, was understandably very proud of his achievement.
“Good job Team Pilipinas! And bubb, we are sooooo proud of you! Ang galing! I can’t wait to see you!”
We wish you a swift recovery, Ryan!
