With the hardships of life, we often see kids on the streets trying their best to make a living. Some sell the usual sampaguita flowers, while others sell balut and other kinds of street food. We have gotten so used to this sight that we don’t even mind them anymore, especially when we’re inside the comforts of our cars or in restaurants. However every once in a while, we come across compassionate people who gladly help out those in need, touching our hearts and reminding us to help the less fortunate. This is exactly what a Jollibee manager did when she saw two kids selling vegetables outside the famous fast-food chain.
According to a certain netizen named Micha Mae M. Estrella, she was in a Jollibee store in Subic when she saw two boys selling sweet potatoes and jicamas (singkamas) outside. The two asked her if she would like to buy some of their goods, but she didn’t. As she entered Jollibee, however, the store’s manager asked the two kids to come inside for a bit and invited them to eat.
At first, the boys were hesitant, seemingly shy. However, they eventually accepted the manager’s offer and came inside the fast-food restaurant to eat. The manager’s act of kindness, however, did not stop there. Not only were they given food by the Jollibee staff, but Micha also heard that the whole crew was planning on asking them to come back so that they can give them some clothes and other things.
Micha ended her post thanking the manager whoever she was, saying it was so far the best Jollibee she has been to.
Netizens, of course, were touched and inspired by the story. A lot of them commended the whole Jollibee staff for their kind gesture, praising them for helping those who are in need.
