Former Kapamilya stars and their current careers as a Kapuso

When it comes to the entertainment industry, switching of networks is quite a common business among celebrities who have yet to find a place in the field. And it can happen to every artist, too–ranging from seasoned actors to teen celebs and even down to child stars! With long years of experience in showbiz, many of them have known better than to settle for less. Now, it’s been a long time coming, but they’re reaping the rewards of their life-changing decision.

Take it from these child stars who were once Kapamilyas and have now found a home with the Kapuso network.

CAMILLE PRATS

Kapamilya’s classic 90s movie “Sarah…. Ang Munting Prinsesa” was what kickstarted Camille’s career. In 2004, however, she decided to switch to GMA-7, where she thrived both as a television host and an actress.

At the young age of 13, Max was discovered as one of the talents from Star Magic Batch 15. But, it was in GMA-7 when she hit stardom after starring in the now-defunct afternoon soap opera “Innamorata”.

ELIZA PINEDA

Only September of last year when Eliza decided to transfer. She was most known for her role in comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit”, and later on in her own primetime series, “Maria Flordeluna”.

PAOLO CONTIS

While he was doing good as a talent of ABS-CBN, Paolo still switched networks to GMA-7. It proved to be worthwhile in the end, though, for he turned out to be one of the best Kapuso actors to date.

KRISTOFFER MARTIN

From Sarah Geronimo’s singing competition “Little Big Star” in 2007, Kristoffer went for the Kapuso Network, wherein he would become famous for his role in “Endless Love” (2010) and later on in “Tween Hearts”.

KYLINE ALCANTARA

The former child actress shot to stardom after she proved her promising acting skills in “Annaliza”. But last year, Kyline changed her path to GMA-7, in which she landed a role in hit drama series “Kambal, Karibal”.

Originally a “StarStruck Kids” graduate, Paul is actually a recurring Kapuso talent. After years of staying with ABS-CBN, the young actor is now back in his home network.
