Much to many fans’ delight, ABS-CBN finally released the trailer of the upcoming romance-drama “Araw Gabi,” inspired from “El Paraiso,” one of the best-selling paperbacks of Precious Hearts Romances. The story will revolve around Michelle (Barbie Imperial) and Adrian (JM de Guzman), though the teaser did not detail the synopsis of the show.
Previous news revealed that JM was personally chosen by Ruel S. Bayani, head of the ABS-CBN Business Unit, to portray the lead character. The role was landed by the actor as soon as he got back from rehab, which makes the anticipated show a celebration of his return in showbiz as well. Ruel said:
“I waited for him to be okay because he is one of our best, one of our more sensitive actors.”
Barbie’s role, on the other hand, was tried out by several other female stars but she managed to outdo them all. Her rumored boyfriend Paul Salas was asked what his reaction was upon learning that his supposed sweetheart had been paired up with JM. He told Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP):
Meanwhile, “El Paraiso” has a high rating on the website “Goodreads,” proving that the show is indeed worthy of everyone’s expectation. Even the commenters dubbed the book as one of the best stories written by Martha Cecilia. The premise said:
While travelling to El Paraiso, she was bewildered by strangers who mistook her for somebody else. Most especially from an arrogant, handsome stranger that unnerved her.”
The outline wrote that the place was picture-perfect. Little did she know that the paradise she went to had its secrets.
