As one of the many celebrities who have been subjected to body shaming, Millennial It Girl Gabbi Garcia has finally spoken up about being bullied online because other people think her body does not fit into what society deems as ‘perfect’. In an attempt to send a message, the Kapuso actress posted an unedited bikini photo of herself, along with an inspiring message on body positivity.
Gabbi took to Instagram to share how people always pick on her imperfections every time she posts her swimsuit photos online. However, she said it was easy for her to embrace her flaws because she accepts the fact that her body is not perfect.
A part of her caption read:
“Yes, I have no boobs, I’m flat chested + I have my own fair share of stretch marks. And I don’t see anything wrong with it. If your definition of being “sexy” doesn’t fit with my body type, well then sorry, but I LOVE MY BODY. And nobody deserves to be bullied just because of your body. We are all beautiful in our own way!”
Adding the hashtags #NoToBodyShaming and #LoveYourBody, Gabbi urged everyone to end the culture of body shaming and encouraged those who feel insecure to love their bodies.
Looks like this feisty actress just proved to her detractors that they messed with the wrong girl!
