Forty one may be old enough an age for many, but for Ana Roces, it’s merely a number. Over the course of nearly 30 years, the versatile actress still stands as one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz–and that’s saying something, what with the flux of new generation of celebrities today. Outside her acting career, she’s busy as a professional mentor and a hands-on mom to her two children, yet has always had that youth-boosted glow that others could only ever dream of.
Which only begs the question, “How exactly does she do it?”
According to Ana–there’s no way around it–the key is a healthy lifestyle, starting from completing hours of sleep.
“I wake up early every day, so I sleep early. I sleep at least eight to nine hours a day, except pag may taping ako. But when I’m taping, it’s long hours, I make sure pag di ko eksena, I sleep.”
If you want the former “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” star’s healthy glow, getting rid of alcohol, smoke, and other unhealthy habits definitely helps a lot. Ana also implied that having cheat days is okay, as long as you eat “everything in moderation” most of the time.
“I also shifted to brown rice, wheat bread, less fatty meats, more on tuna, chicken. I also eat beef, pero lean. I try to eat healthy.”
When it comes to fitness, the actress has found love with Zumba. She regularly dances two to three times a week.
“I also work out with light weights. Kasi nga when you age, we lose our muscles.”
