The kids of this generation have undoubtedly become more expressive of their feelings, especially online, thanks to the various social media platforms available today. Posting on Facebook, for example, can used as a tool for blowing off some steam, and for occasionally telling everyone in our friends list how we feel. This is exactly what a young netizen did when he posted some ‘hugot’ lines on his timeline, but not without his mother seeing what he was going on about.
Called fondly as “Jumong”, this kid’s Facebook hugot posts will make you think he is going through a major heartbreak. Who knows, maybe the boy really is. But while his dramatic status messages alone are enough to go viral, his mother’s responses proved to be even more epic.
In a Facebook status he posted on March 17, Jumong wrote in all-caps:
“KAHIT WALANG TAYO MAHALAGA KA SA BUHAY KO!!!”
Pretty heavy words coming from a young boy. However, it seems like he forgot to change his privacy settings, because his mother saw the post and quickly replied, “Ang mahalaga maghugas ng paa pag akyat sa kama!”
Jumong did not mind his mother, and he decided to post another status that night. It read:
“PAANO KO NGA BA BUBUUIN ANG SARILI KO PARA SAYO?”
His mother jumped on this opportunity to call him out for his absences in school and replied, “Di mo nga mabuo ang pagpasok sa isang lingo kung ano pang buo sinasabi mo.”
Unfazed, Jumong let out his feelings again in a separate status and wrote:
“ILANG BESES KO NA SINABI SA SARILI KO NA HINDING-HINDI KITA MAMAHALIN. NGUNIT TUWING NAKIKITA KITA LAGING SINASABI NG PUSO KO NA HANGGANG NGAYON MAHAL PARIN KITA. DI YUN MAGBABAGO!”
While it looks like the boy is suffering from unrequited love, his mother, has an entirely different concern.
She commented, “Ilang beses ko ba sasabihin sayo MAGLATAG KA NA AT MATULOG!!!”
However, Jumong did not let his mother’s antics get in the way of him expressing his feelings. In another equally-serious and heartbroken status, he wrote:
“NATAWA AKO KASI SA ISIP KO BAKIT PA? EH NANDYAN KA NA!”
It seems like his mother has finally had enough of her son’s love problems, because she finally replied:
“Tigil na Jumong mag-kakagawad pa ko!”
Their exchange proved to be so funny that netizens couldn’t get enough. In fact, the young Jumong now has over 2,600 followers on Facebook!
